After months of consideration, I finally did it. I got a lip blush tattoo! Was it painful? In short, no. Was it weird? A little. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Here's my experience in more detail.

I've always been intrigued by the idea of semi-permanent makeup. The thought of waking up with perfectly defined lips, sans lipstick, was too tempting to resist. So, after thorough research and a free consultation at Holly Garvey Studio, I took the plunge into the world of lip blush tattooing.

The process itself was surprisingly painless. Contrary to my initial nerves, the discomfort was minimal, comparable to a slight tingling sensation. My stylist applied numbing cream beforehand, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the procedure.

Watching my lips transform was surreal. With each meticulously placed stroke, my natural lip colour seamlessly blended with the pigment, resulting in a subtle yet defined hue. The gradual buildup of colour allowed for customisation, ensuring that the final shade complemented my complexion flawlessly.

To be completely honest, the concept of tattooing my lips felt peculiar at first. The idea of needles near such a sensitive area created a sense of unease. However, any worries were alleviated after I witnessed the gradual transformation of my lips and the precision and expertise of my stylist.

Post-procedure care was relatively straightforward. Following the studio’s instructions, I abstained from certain activities to ensure optimal healing. A week of diligent moisturising and the avoidance of picking resulted in beautifully enhanced lips that required minimal upkeep.

Now, several weeks later, I can confidently say that getting lip blush tattoo was one of the best beauty decisions I've ever made. Not only has it saved me time and hassle in my daily makeup routine, but it has also boosted my confidence knowing that my lips always look their best.
